On today's show, we will bring you a holiday adaptation of a 1947 film "Miracle on 34th St." with Edmund Gwyn as Kris Kringle, with Maureen O'Hara and Natale Wood as heard on the Lux Radio Theatre from December 24th, 1948. This is still remains a classic.
There was also a remake of that film from 1994 featuring Mara Wilson.
This is the last show for the Brooklyn Mouse Holiday Festival 2007, we will see you in either July or maybe next year.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

On today's show, we will bring you an LP came from Ernest Haynes from the Ernie (Not Bert) Blog called "The Night Before Christmas". This is the soundtrack to a forgotten 1968 TV special that I posted since December 3rd on show #4.
This one does have a narration, but I don't really remember who narrated the story? You'll figure it out!
Thanks to Ernest Haynes for this great audio from a 1968 soundtrack. The TV soundtrack was on the small Elba label, and it was performed by the Norman Luboff Choir. I hope you'll enjoy it!
Right before the show, we will bring you the 70th Anniversary of "Snow White", the very first animated film by Walt Disney since it was premiered at the Carthay Circle Theater on this date in 1937. That was 70 years ago today.
If you like to talk about "Snow White", go listen to show #10 of my regualr podcast on "The Brooklyn Mouse".

On today's show, we will present the 1971 Christmas Veteran Administration Hospital Program presented as a Public Service.
Tennesse Ernie Ford was the host for this presentation along with president Richard M Nixon and adminstrator of the Veterans Affairs, Donald E Johnson.
It features Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, along with the cast of celebraties and singers where they would give our Christmas message to the fans.
This is a 16-minute program, but it was from the LP for the 1971 Christmas Hospital promotion.
NOTE: I'm going to delay "The Night Before Christmas" until this Friday where I will bring you the LP version of the special that you just heard since late November.
December 17, 2007 06:50 PM PST
On today's show, we will bring you a classic 1978 Disney short film "The Small One". This was the first time I saw it in a theatre since I was 4 months old. This is still a childhood favorite of mine.
After that, will bring you a portion of an old radio show called "Philco Radio Time" with Bing Crosby where he will bring you the original version of a Charles Tazwell story. It was originally heard back in the 1940's.
After the show, we will bring you a song from "Pinocchio", the first Disney film I saw since I was a baby when it was preceeded by "The Small One" entitled "When You Wish Upon a Star".
December 14, 2007 09:07 PM PST
On today's show, we will bring you my favorite holiday classic of all time "A Charlie Brown Christmas". This special was from 1965 and it still remains today as one of the best-loved holiday classics ever from the pages of Peanuts.
After that, will play a few Christmas songs and lots more. Check out Ernest Hayes' Ernie (Not Bert) Blog at:

Right before today's show, we will bring you Celine Dion & Michael Buble with my special version of "The Christmas Song".

On this show, we will bring you a TV special called "Muppet's Family Christmas" featuring the Muppets. It features the cast from "Fraggile Rock", "Sesame St." and the "Muppet Babies". I guess I should pass it over to Luke Manning, because he's a big time fan of the Muppets.
I hope you'll enjoy it!
After the show, we will talk about Mousefest which is coming up tomorrow!

On today's episode, we will bring you everyone's favorite holiday classic "Mickey's Christmas Carol". Plus, we will give you a copule of classic Christmas TV commercials like McDonald's, Crazy Eddie and KFC.
In addition to that, we will bring you a special bonus, we will bring you Stan Freberg's "Christmas Dragnet", a hilarious parody of a popular radio show "Dragnet". This one still remains a Christmas comedy classic.
By the way, the background music for this episode came from the LP "Merry Christmas to You" by David Rose and his Orchestra. He had his only #1 instrumental hit called "The Stripper" in 1962. This one came from the "Ernie (not Bert)" blog. Check out his site for his collection of rare Christmas LP's and so much more.

On this show, we will bring you "Frosty's Winter Wonderland". This was probably a follow-up to a special that I posted earlier called "Frosty the Snowman" on the last show.
This was taken from the Disneyland LP of the soundtrack to a Rankin/Bass TV special. On one of his early episodes of the "Everything Disney Podcast" during the Corny Christmas Season, the audio was terrible and it was recorded off of ABC Family with commercials last year, but this one off vinyl has no commercials, but it's in excellent quality.
I wish that ABC Family will air that special every year during the "25 Days of Christmas", but there will be repeats right up until December 25th.
I hope you'll enjoy it!
November 28, 2007 05:33 PM PST
On today's show, we will bring you another holiday classic from the Rankin/Bass library, "Frosty the Snowman". Right before the show, we'll bring a couple of TV holiday commercials from the 70's and 80's like Coca-Cola, Oreo cookies and Burger King.
November 26, 2007 06:42 PM PST
On this first holiday offering, we will bring you a holiday classic just for you, it's "The Year Without a Santa Claus". If you listen to this special, the audio quality was not all that great. Luke Manning did that on his first "Corny Christmas Season" off of ABC Family but it was not the best quality ever made. This was from my VHS tape taped right off of WCBS-TV in New York City. I hope you'll enjoy it!.
Coming up this Wednesday is "Frosty the Snowman". Another great holiday classic from Rankin/Bass.
